Pukulan Cimande Pusaka is the style of Pencak Silat taught by King Tiger International. It translates to the Mystical Art of Hitting Like Flowing Water. In this system you learn to defend yourself against a minimum of 3 opponents, working up to as many as 10 or 12, using timing, sensitivity, and deception to defeat any number of adversaries. It has a principle of destruction. A systematic way to destroy your opponents offensive weapons by destroying, joints, muscles, and nerves. It encompasses the animal styles by invoking the spirit of the animal. The monjet (monkey), harimau or chi matjan (tiger), ular sendok (cobra), ular sawa (python), blakok (crane), and the Raja Naga (King Dragon). It's mainly a flanking system using sikaps (decoys), off timing (stomping and slapping) to confuse and distract your opponent. In Cimande the forearms and shins are conditioned by practicing certain Jurus and Lankahs and using Balur Oil, to bring the Tenaga Dalam (Inner Energy), to the surface and strengthen the area. Also, certain mantras are used to produce a desired effect. Weapons training consists of pedang (sword), pisau (knife), golok (long knife), kerambit (tigers claw), cabang or siku-siku, kancing stick, sarong, kujang (cimande knife) and the Kris.

Harimau Pencak Silat
is also taught in its entirety by King Tiger International. It originates in Sumatra. It's the Tiger style which fights mainly from a grounded position but definitely has a great fighting ability standing up as well. It has low fully prone and crouching positions which allows the Harimau exponent to smash his opponents ankles, knees, and shins, with kicks, knee blows, sweeps, leaps, and tiger springs. The Harimau mannerism draws its power from Mother Earth. Students must build strong and flexible legs for doing tiger springs and leaps, and to be able to move in the low postures quickly and smoothly. A strong neck must also be developed to aid in biting and tearing with the teeth. The main goal is to break the opponents foundation, bringing them back down to Mother Earth. The Harimau exponent will then roll up the opponents body, usually ending with a flat tiger sprawl to finish them off with elbow and knee sandwich blows to the head. The highest form of Pencak Silat Harimau is when the silat practitioner invokes the spirit-tiger (harimau roh) when in need the spirit-tigers energy will enter the person filling them with the power of the tiger. It is believed that when this occurs, the adversaries see the person as if he were a tiger. Also the practitioner may evoke the spirit-tiger to come himself and confront the adversary.

Sera, Pamacan and Trumbu
are the other traditional arts of the founder of Cimande, Embah Kahir. They are all taught in their entirety at King Tiger.

Sera
is basically a monkey style which features quick evasive movements, redirection, breaks, sweeps and throws. Its only weapon is dirt.

Pamacan
is the tiger style. It features low movements similar to Harimau, however it makes use of more crouching postures. The Pamacan stylist attacks the nerves and muscles with tiger claw crushing attacks. It also targets the groin and throat. Low kicks and sweeps to the ankles and knees are typical Pamacan. It also makes use of the kerambit (tiger claw). Both Sera and Pamacan have 5 Jurus each plus many training drills and partner exercises.

Trumbu
is the Stick Art of Embah Kahir. It uses a stick called Halu which is 39 inches long and used to beat rice. The style learns to make use of the entire stick as a weapon. The Trumbu exponent attacks specific points on the body such as ankles, knees, hips, collar bone, head, etc. The Halu Stick is much larger and heavier than most sticks in any system which utilizes the stick as a weapon. There are only 4 Jurus for the Trumbu and many many training drills and partner exercises focusing on striking, blocking, counters and recounters.

Gamelan
music plays a big part in Traditional Pencak Silat training. It encompasses a magickal quality which allows the students to go into a state of trance much easier. Exposure to certain tones of the sacred Gamelan alters consciousness. It allows the practioner through the use of music, magick, and meditation to increase his power. All of this is a must in Authentic Pencak Silat.
